Reggae exists in Poland for over 55 years. So far, not even one initiative of creating regular periodical about this kind of music was successful. We try to bridge this gap. FREE COLOURS promotes native (Polish) reggae scene in every kind (roots, dancehall, ragga, conscious, dub), reminds the history, reviews the recordings of polish and foreign artists. It writes about festivals, presents and promotes foreign reggae performers. The creators of the periodical are involved with reggae music for years. The title of the magazine is permanently connected with three colours. Our title is a word game, cause „Free” is also readable as „Three”. For us reggae is not only the kind of music, but also the aspiration for freedom. The magazine comes out every 3-4 months. Its distribution takes place through concerts, festivals, shops and internet distributions, but also via big press selling chains in Poland. We welcome everybody to cooperate! We gladly review every forthcoming cd/lp/ep or magazine. If we are invited to concert or festival, we will write about it or advertise it. We are also willing to exchange our texts. Reggae in Poland becomes more and more stronger! Every year the amount of international reggae artists hosted in our country increases. Until today we hosted a lot of stars. Every year several big festivals take place in Poland. FREE COLOURS belongs to ZIMA publisher (www.zima.slask.pl), the editor and distributor of reggae, ska and punk music.
